Since 2020, Gorge Farmers Collective has partnered with the Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital Foundation to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to oncology patients through an innovative Veggie Rx program. Over the past six years, this partnership has supported 40+ families during cancer treatment and recovery, helping ensure patients have access to nutritious, locally grown food during a critical time. In 2025, Gorge Farmers Collective piloted a Veggie Rx program with Skyline Hospital (https://myskylinehealth.org/foundation/ways-to-give/)to support families experiencing food insecurity. Through this program, participating families received fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from local farms, strengthening both community health and the regional food economy.

Through partnerships with PacificSource and Bridges to Health, Gorge Farmers Collective works to expand access to fresh food through healthcare programs across the region. Additional details on this partnership are coming soon.

Through statewide food access initiatives, Gorge Farmers Collective works alongside partners like Oregon Food Bank (https://www.oregonfoodbank.org)to connect locally grown food with families who need it most. More details on this partnership coming soon.
